Aligned with the DO #18 s.2017 Every Child A Reader Program which addresses the depart-ment thrust to make every Filipino child a reader at his/her own level, Taal High School English Department continues exerting effort on equipping the learners with reading skills they truly need.

This is also to intensify the reading program in response to the DepEd Order No. 173, s. 2019 titled "Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa", Taal High School have come up with the Project: REACH -with its primary goal of equipping our learners with reading skills so that from being non-readers-frustration- and slow readers, they would become instructional and independent- proficient readers.

This will cater for at least 20 students for this school year. Students' poor reading compre-hension resulting to poor academic performance is always the existing problem that burdened every teacher. This difficulty hinders the learning that supposed to be achieved in every day's set-up. To resolve this dilemma, the department have come up with this reading program. We need to explore every avenue in reaching our struggling students and building them up.
